grading policy
"E", "S", or "n"
The grading policy for Specials (Art, Music, Library, and Physical Education) at Beatty is consistent with the Clark County School District.
E="Exceeds Standard"An "E" in Art means that your child has exceeded the standard being taught and is above grade level. This does not stand for "excellent" or indicative of behavior, but rather going above and beyond the success and criteria requirements for the assignments.

S="Satisfactory"An "S" in Art is awesome! Your student is on target and doing grade level work. The percentage that you see on progress reports is calculated in Infinite Campus and not a reflection of their grade (I do not give percentage grades).
|
N="Needs Improvement"An "N" in Art will not come as a surprise to you as a parent. We will have had a conversation either by phone or email and an unsatisfactory notice will have been sent home. As your student will tell you, you have to do close to nothing in my room to get an "N." Students are asked to do their best with the task given completing the assignment.
